Principal's Message

Greetings Acton Parents and Community,

Welcome to CALA's webpage! We are so happy you're here!

 

We are an innovative elementary campus serving PK3 through 4th grade students and their families.
Our mission is to empower all scholars with excellent habits to achieve their genius leadership potential.
Our staff works to carry out our mission by modeling leadership on purpose, providing explicit training
to all of our students in the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, and by celebrating growth and success.
The 7 Habits are timeless principles that help provide clear actions any person can choose to
demonstrate their leadership. We believe that leadership is much more than a position. It’s in our
beliefs, attitudes, and in how we respond to situations. We teach students to learn positive lessons
from their mistakes and begin to think logically about how to make plans, set goals, and realize dreams.
We believe the most impactful academic practices are focused on daily reading, a robust reading
curriculum that includes explicit phonics instruction, task-based math instruction that includes hands-on
instruction and opportunities for daily writing reflection. These practices will help us write success
stories, one student at a time! We appreciate the opportunity to serve those of you who have joined us!
